Experience across many fields – Richard Tüscher joins the Board of Directors of the EASY-CERT group AG

Richard Tüscher has been a member of the Board of Directors of EASY-CERT group AG since June 2026. His appointment also marks the return of theResearch Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL to the Group’s Board of Directors.

Richard Tüscher has been working at FiBL since September 225. As Vice Chair of the Executive Board and Head of the Finance & Infrastructure Department, he is responsible for areas that are central to the development of an organisation – from finance and IT to infrastructure and internal services.

His professional career has spanned a range of industries and companies.

After completing a commercial apprenticeship and studying business administration, he worked for organisations including Möbel Pfister, SBB, Artoz Papier AG and the santésuisse Group. Over many years, he held positions of responsibility in finance, IT, corporate development and services.

Bringing in new perspectives
With this broad professional background, Richard Tüscher brings an additional perspective to the Board of Directors of the EASY-CERT group. At the same time, his current role at FiBL gives him first-hand insight into the organic sector and the challenges faced by an internationally connected organisation.

We asked Richard Tüscher what attracted him to his new role, which experiences he would like to contribute and what perspectives he sees for the future of the EASY-CERT group.

What attracted you to joining the Board of Directors of the EASY-CERT group?
I see the EASY-CERT group as a highly dynamic group that is constantly evolving. It is both an honour and a challenge to help write the next chapters of this development. And of course, I am very pleased to have the opportunity to represent FiBL on the Board of Directors of the EASY-CERT group once again.

Today, the EASY-CERT group brings together various inspection and certification organisations under one roof and operates internationally. This involves not only technical expertise, but also organisational and strategic challenges.

Which experiences from your career would you particularly like to contribute to the Board of Directors?
For me, the key is to initiate and steer processes of change. At the same time, those of us in positions of responsibility at every level need to be aware that not everything can be controlled. I therefore believe it is essential for leadership bodies to ensure that objectives are clear and well known. The path towards them may sometimes be full of obstacles – but it may also present opportunities that are worth seizing.

Moving forward together
Alongside his professional experience, Richard Tüscher also brings a personal commitment to organic principles. But what does organic mean to him personally, and how does he see the future of the EASY-CERT group?

What does organic mean to you personally?
Of course, organic products have a very important place in the Tüscher family’s shopping basket. But for me, it goes beyond that. I believe organic is a way of life. The four IFOAM principles – health, ecology, fairness and care – can be applied to almost every area of life. In any case, I try to live by them. For example, short holidays involving air travel are not something we do.

Where do you see the EASY-CERT group in five years?
At the time of this interview, my first Board meeting is still ahead of me, so I prefer not to set out any goals just yet. What does seem important to me, however, is that the dynamic development I mentioned continues, because standing still means falling behind. When it comes to pace and direction, I see the interests of our customers and employees as the primary guide..

And because there is more to a Board member than a CV:

What should our employees and customers definitely know about you?
I have already mentioned my family. There are five of us, and we live near Aarau, not far from Frick. I enjoy spending my free time outdoors, ideally watching birds. I am an avid reader, and my favourite place to enjoy an espresso is Italy.
